Diversity and Affirmative Action
Changing demographics make it more important - and even unavoidable - to select, retain and manage a diverse workforce. Diversity covers everything from culture, race and ethnicity to age, sexual orientation and disabilities. Best practice highlights.
IT Recruitment/Retention
US companies are experiencing a severe shortage of information technology (IT) workers. The number of unfilled positions for IT at US companies is approximately 346,000 nationwide, according to the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).
The HR benchmarking survey government participants were split nearly in half when asked whether they had a shortage of IT staff. 52% reported no shortage of IT staff, while 48% indicated there was a shortage of IT staff.
