Awards Committee

2012 Committee Members

The committee is responsible for evaluating the nominations for the association’s annual Honorary Life Membership and the IPMA-HR Awards for Excellence, which are submitted by the general membership, and to make recommendations to the Executive Council in accordance with the association’s bylaws. The committee’s work is done through mail, e-mail, and conference calls. Members of the committee must be willing to review the documentation supporting the nominations.

Benchmarking Committee

This committee manages the Association’s human resource benchmarking initiative. The work of the committee is done through e-mail and conference calls.

Certification Advisory Board

2012 Board Members

Charged with providing oversight and guidance to the IPMA-HR certification program.

Chapter/Region Taskforce

2012 Taskforce Members

Charged with examining whether there is a better way to align the chapters, regions, and the association and to work together to increase membership, enhance awareness of IPMA-HR as a brand, and to provide high-quality products and services to our members.

Conference Program Committee

2012 Committee Members

Charged with developing the programming for the International Training Conference.

Fellowship Committee

2012 Committee Members

The purpose of this committee is to review and evaluate the applications of 1) IPMA-HR members for the association’s graduate study fellowship and 2) scholarships for the children of IPMA-HR members seeking undergraduate degrees. The committee members make recommendations to the Executive Council of the individuals who will receive the fellowships and scholarships. The work of the committee is done through mail, e-mail, and conference calls. Members of the committee must be willing to review the documentation supporting the nominations.

Finance Committee

2012 Committee Members

Charged with reviewing and recommending an annual budget for the Association and reviewing a report on the annual audit of the Association’s 2011 financial records.

Information Technology Taskforce

2012 Taskforce Members

Charged with conducting a survey of the chapters and regions to determine how they are meeting their information technology needs and to see if there could be a pooling of resources that might better meet the technology needs of the chapters and regions. Each region has two representatives on the taskforce.

Legislative Taskforce

2012 Taskforce Members

The goal of this taskforce is to inform association staff of impact of legislative and regulatory proposals on the membership. To recommend policy positions when appropriate for further consideration by the executive council.

Long-Range Strategic Plan Taskforce

2012 Taskforce Members

The taskfoce reviews and recommends updates to the IPMA-HR Long-Range Strategic Plan. They review all IPMA-HR programs, products, and services and recommend changes in the activities undertaken by the Association and the way in which they are delivered.

Next Generation Taskforce

Charged with developing strategies, including social networking, for increasing the involvement of new HR professionals in the association.

Nominating Committee

The committee makes nominations for the Executive Council for each vacancy as specified in the Association bylaws.

Professional Development Committee

2012 Committee Members

The purpose of this committee is to enhance the expertise of public sector human resource staffs by expanding professional development opportunities that focus on new and emerging roles and competencies.

Successful Practices Taskforce

2012 Committee Members

This taskforce assists in the identification and review of successful HR practices that can be posted on the innovations page on the IPMA-HR Web site. The work of the taskforce is done through email and conference calls.
